Voice actor. Whether it'd be a loving character or a mean character, she has acted out many heroines, and many people in the industry praise her for her talent. Even in sexual scenes , she has an amazing expression method, and voices actors in the same industry say "Amazing" and see her as a goal.

Yamato

He is the producer of international version of Custom Order Maid 3D2, and the representative of KISS. He is the only one who has been here from the beginning of the brand, and is the god father of the “Custom” series. He is well known in the industry as being a techno DJ, and having very characteristic hair styles and colors. He loves music, and that is clearly shown in the songs and dances after “Custom maid 3D”.

This is the person when it comes to KISS heroine voices! She's been in almost all of our KISS products, and is treated like our own employee. This is the voice actor, Misonoo Mei-san! We got her speaking freely about KISS and the inside stories! And at the end of the interview, she drops a bombshell…!?

Yamato

We will be talking to Misonoo-san who been in every product since "CUSTOM MAID 3D". Since you've been acting so much with them, can you feel how the content has been growing? Misonoo: Yeah haha.

Misonoo

Yeah haha.

Yamato

Since you started form zero with us, I think you have the same shared sensibility from other staff members.

Misonoo

I ask myself, "Why am I not a company Employee?".

Yamato

You're right haha. That's a sense we all have.

Misonoo

Right. I think you should give me social insurance.

Yamato

You're right. I think I will?

Misonoo

Yay haha.

Yamato

Well, let's move on and get to the meat of this. Our beging was "CUSTOM MAID 3D".

Misonoo

That's right.

Yamato

There are a lot of characters in the game, and as the game progresses things change. And we thought if one person doesn't do all the voices, it's going to sound unnatural. So we chose one voice actor. And we were talking about who'd be the best in the company, and Misonoo-san was the one that matched our image.

Misonoo

Thank you very much!

Yamato

There were 4 personalities first, then 6. Even though they are the same character and voice, wasn't it hard to make different personalities?

Misonoo

Umm, I'm going to say everything good and bad haha.

Yamato

That's good, we want both.

Misonoo

At first, the personalities weren't that separated right?

Yamato

You're right. It was more about how one girl could change, instead of getting different personalities.

Misonoo

Like the different ways they would talk. So, I thought it wasn't the character becoming someone else, but acting like tsundere or becoming light and fluffy.

Yamato

Yeah, you're right.

Misonoo

That's right, but I still think if that was okay. I think it all worked out well, but the text for every character had it's distinctive characteristic.

Yamato

Yep.

Misonoo

I think there were 10,000 voices for 4 characters. But I thought for some reason, can this game function with just my voice?

Yamato

Ahh, I see.

Misonoo

Even if I change it, I thought I wouldn't change. So when we were testing it, I tried to change my voice for every character. So I thought, " I can change this". So when we were character testing, I wanted to talk about which one I should chose, so I brought a voice that changes suddenly, and a voice that softly changes.

Yamato

With the director.

Misonoo

Yep. I asked the director " What should I do?". I thought I couldn't change it, but the director said "That's perfect!". But, to be honest, I did it thinking "Is this really going to be fine?". And it wasn't like there were 10,000 voices in the script from the start, so I didn't know how the system would handle it.

Yamato

Yeah, you're right.

Misonoo

So for example, "Jyunshin is a soft voice, and Coodere is like soldier ", so they had to be different people right. I didn't know if they wanted to fill in the gap or not, but it seemed like they already were recording. But later on, "Between Jyunshin and Tsundere" sometimes came up, and I thought "How am I going to do this?" haha. It was gone later on though.

Yamato

Ah, I see. Do you mean the voices when the personalities change?

Misonoo

No. It was some kind of add-on to Yotogi. At the end I was told to "Use a voice that can fit any personality", so I thought I shouldn't be changing voices, but it was too late by then.

Yamato

There was a thinking in the company. The first image was getting 4 close sounding voices, but the director decided by himself that we'd record different voices. And I found out later about that haha.

Misonoo

That's what I thought!!

Yamato

There was talk about "What? Aren't the voices too different?", but he said "No no, this is how it's supposed to be". So we had to do it, I thought it will be wrong when the personalities changed.

Misonoo

It was Billy Milligan. haha.

Yamato

Yeah haha. But at the end, the customers wanted the game to not have personality changes. And ended up being that we needed to change the voices drastically. So, we hit some kind of super shot. It seemed like it was more interesting when one voice actor was changing all 4 types of voices.

Misonoo

When the characters first came out, the cast names weren't on it yet, right?

Yamato

You're right.

Misonoo

So that's why people didn't know I was doing it alone?

Yamato

No one knew. That's why everyone was amazed at first. We weren't aiming for that though.

Misonoo

It was all an accident haha.

Yamato

Yeah. It ended up being like that with a lot of accidents. But in the end, everything just fit perfectly.

Misonoo

The big bang happened haha.

Yamato

You're so right haha. And we asked you to do it on the 2nd one too. We couldn't say no to Misonoo-san because we knew our games would be long runs, and we need someone to have stability and security in their voice to keep the quality high of the game.

Misonoo

I was the pitcher that never got hurt haha.

Yamato

That's what it is haha. We don't know how long we'll be pitching this game. And we've been making this since 2010 and it's already 2018.

Misonoo

That's scary. More then half of my voice acting life has been doing Custom Maid haha.

Yamato

Haw was acting out Jyunshin-chan?

Misonoo

The new director was saying "Let's change the old Jyunshin-chan". The Mujirushi Jyunshin-chan was like a goddess that would accept anything like a big sister.

Yamato

Yeah, I remember it being like that.

Misonoo

He said let's have more of human aspect in the 2nd one. There was a personality added in the 1st game called "Kenage", that was like a cute little girl. So I added her and Jyunshin and divided them by two and added on more of a human touch.

Yamato

Yeah, yeah.

Misonoo

But first, I thought what to do. Because this Jyunshin-chan was a girl that I didn't act out a lot.

Yamato

Oh, is that right.

Misonoo

At that time I wasn't in the position to do main heroines haha.

Yamato

I see.

Misonoo

But, about three months after "3D2" came out, I thought "I can do a main heroin?" haha. And from around then I was allowed a lot more opportunities to do main heroin's.

Yamato

Is that so! Things started from this then.

Misonoo

I think it was making some kind of stableness. Custom Maid has really helped me to grow haha.

Yamato

You have been doing it for a long time. We've asked you to do so much.

Misonoo

You're right. People usually don't act the same character for this long, and I 've also done things like "vacation" and "cuckold" in append with different tastes. This has nothing to do with voice but, I really like appends "Karaoke pack" haha.

Yamato

Yeah, you're right. Those kind of approaches are interesting.

Misonoo

I'm doing a lot of flirting in Yotogi, and even when I'm not doing sexual things in it, I like it because I can feel like "Wow, I'm dating someone!". I like Moe situations.

Yamato

How was it acting out Rindere in "Custom Order Maid 3D2"?

Misonoo

I first thought that I wouldn't be good at "Jyunshin", and be really good at Rindere, but it was a lot harder then I thought.

Yamato

Ahhh.

Misonoo

And I noticed when I was in front of the microphone I was more of a Jyushin character then I thought. On the other hand, I thought "How far should I distance Rindere from the users?". It was hard to not sound too scary.

Yamato

I see. When you first start there isn't a lot of text, so it's hard to know how much distance or human touch the character should have.

Misonoo

They became humans when I did the Idol scenarios and restaurant scenarios.

Yamato

We ourselves, have never put this much effort in the story. We always take a lot of time for the adult scene plots, but we've never taken this much time for a normal idol story plot.

Misonoo

you're right. It all started off from training scenarios.

Yamato

It did. We made a really nice story. If we made a nice story with sex, it'd make sense haha.

Misonoo

Was this company even like this haha.

Yamato

Yeah. Because I watch a lot of overseas dramas, I used their plots as ideas when making the plot, and I started to see the character of Rindere. I think you knew when you read the script, but it was that kind of ending.

Misonoo

In my head KISS-san would say things like, "There's a couples café, you should take them there?" haha.

Yamato

I know, you're not wrong haha.

Misonoo

I really felt like you were really going with the societies flow, by telling a serious girl that, "You don't understand what is good about you".

Yamato

We were planning on making that many songs from the start too. I've been saying and wanting to make songs that go with the story for years. I couldn't find moments that went with the story in the game, but we finally found it.

Misonoo

Yeah.

Yamato

We thought about making 5 songs from the start, we didn't want to just make cute or sexy songs, but we thought it was time to make songs that can make you feel something and move you. I thought I could make that for new customers who came after "3D2". Overall, we loved making NTR, but it's the age of "NTR block", so we can't make it now haha.

Misonoo

This generation has really changed!

Yamato

When we think about where we came from, we've been told things that deny our identity, but customers don't want to see that.

Misonoo

They're saying that they want to get married.

Yamato

Yeah, they do. I would never thought that in the past.

Misonoo

They probably want to get married to just want to sleep with people!?

Yamato

I know haha.

Misonoo

But now, they say "Be my wife, and only sleep with me". I was kind of in shock when I heard that when that came up at Nikonama haha.

Yamato

You're so right. You just talked about Nikonama, but Misonoo-san, you the most appearing guest haha.

Misonoo

Being a guest is a joke. I'm on it more than Aikawa Kei, and she's the host haha.

Yamato

Yeah.

Misonoo

But I'm only a guest. Because I don't have to start conversations. I always think "I need to start a conversation" when I'm hosting haha.

Yamato

Well then, please be our guest forever. I know each Nikonama is long, but do you have a memorable one?

Um. There used to be this person called Taikai-san.

Yamato

Yeah, the old host. She was our staff.

Misonoo

She would always talk about "Kantai Collection" in awkward places, and was making the show boring.

Yamato

Haha. That's classic!!

Misonoo

I thought it was funny that I'd ignore him and move on.

Yamato

Yeah, it was funny haha.

Misonoo

From the past the hosts would always do their own thing. That was funny. If Kei-san get going, her Aikawa time switch suddenly comes on, and starts talking about love stories.

Yamato

Yeah, that's right. Like "Aikawa equaling Asunaro hugs:.

Misonoo

I thought that was funny. And every time, there was an Aikawa love story presentation time, but that has never been a love pack sold yet.

Yamato

Ah, yeah!

Misonoo

KISS-san is a demon haha.

Yamato

Is there something other than games you want to do at KISS in the future?

Misonoo

This might kill myself as a voice actor but… I would love to sing a song♪

Yamato

That sounds fun! Maybe that day might come?
